The Cost Estimator role at Ben X Solutions is a full-time, on-site position based in Lahore. The primary responsibility is to prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects and services by analyzing project requirements and identifying necessary materials, labor, and timelines. This role involves reviewing project documents and specifications, collaborating closely with project managers and other stakeholders, gathering pricing data from vendors, and maintaining updated cost models and estimation tools. The estimator will also monitor cost trends, support budgeting and cost control efforts, and provide clear, data-driven reports to assist in decision-making and enhance project profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for projects and services based on detailed analysis of requirements.
- Review project documents, specifications, and scope to ensure accurate estimation.
- Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and vendors to gather relevant pricing and cost data.
- Maintain and update cost models, estimation tools, and databases to reflect current market conditions.
- Monitor cost trends and support budgeting and cost control activities throughout project lifecycles.
- Generate clear, data-driven reports to guide management decisions and improve profitability.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company policies and ethical standards for transparency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Strong skills in Cost Management and Cost Control to facilitate accurate financial planning.
- Proficiency in Project Estimation and Budgeting, with the ability to prepare reliable cost forecasts and budgets.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate alternatives, and optimize cost decisions.
- Competency in using spreadsheets and estimation software, coupled with strong numerical and quantitative abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work productively with project managers, finance teams, and vendors.
- Relevant educational background in Finance, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
- Prior experience in cost estimation or project finance is preferred.
- High attention to detail, ability to work on-site in Lahore, and a commitment to ethical and transparent estimation practices.
