The National Bank of Pakistan is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Credit Officer (OG-II/OG-I) to join their team. Key Responsibilities
- Assess credit proposals by analyzing financial statements, cash flow, and other relevant data to determine the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses.
- Prepare detailed credit appraisal reports and make recommendations for approval or rejection of credit applications.
- Monitor and review existing credit portfolios to identify potential risks and ensure timely recovery of dues.
- Ensure compliance with the bank’s credit policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify credit terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth processing and disbursement of loans.
- Participate in credit review meetings and contribute to the development of credit strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to credit transactions.
- Provide support in the resolution of credit-related issues and disputes.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant experience in credit appraisal, risk assessment, or banking operations is preferred, particularly in a commercial banking environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess risk effectively.
- Good understanding of credit policies, banking regulations, and lending procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and banking software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
