The DM Quality Control Washing role also involves leading root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address major and recurring quality issues effectively. Collaboration with production and relevant departments is critical, as the incumbent will provide thorough feedback to ensure proper execution of customer requirements. They will coordinate closely with customers as a Non-Financial Escalation (NFE) point and offer detailed operational and management-level quality reports. The candidate will monitor key performance indicators, identify gaps in processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently while facilitating quality control activities and preventive measures on the production floor.
Responsibilities

  • Manage and control the overall washing quality process to ensure all denim garments meet approved customer standards, including wash specifications, shade bands, and measurement requirements.
  • Supervise first-load approvals and continuously monitor wash effects such as whisker, chevron, scraping, grinding, spray, ripping, abrasion, and overall appearance.
  • Ensure effective control of shade and measurements throughout the production cycle to maintain uniformity and quality standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for significant and recurring quality issues to eliminate defects and improve processes.
  • Monitor final inspection results, oversee timely corrective actions, and ensure rework closures meet quality expectations before product shipment.
  • Coordinate closely with customers as a Non-Financial Escalation (NFE) point to take feedback and communicate quality expectations and concerns to production and relevant departments.
  • Identify and mitigate quality risks at the production floor level by proactive monitoring and quality assurance checks.
  • Provide daily operational and management-level reports on quality performance, highlighting key findings and improvement areas.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to washing quality, identifying process gaps and implementing preventive measures to reduce rejection, rework, alteration, and customer complaints.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on minimizing quality deviations from the earliest stages of production.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality audits, inspections, and process evaluations to support transparency and traceability.
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards, as well as customer specifications, throughout the entire washing process.
