The individual is responsible for writing different forms of academic papers which includes coursework, thesis, or dissertations. In order to do so the candidate needs to have a strong grasp on the English language in terms of writing, reading, and comprehension. Other skills required include; 

  1. Versality in subjects: Engineering, business, psychology, sociology, literature, history, and others. 
  2. Understanding of major referencing styles: MLA, APA, Harvard (with & without page numbers), Chicago, OSCOLA, and more. 
  3. Must have grasp on the use of MS Office software, primarily Word, Power Point, Excel, Project Management. 
  4. Other software knowledge can inlcude but not limited to: SPSS, Minitab, Comprehensive Meta Analysis, Zotero, and more. 
  5. Time Management Skill!!!! This is by far the most important quality that is needed in future writers. The ability to manage time and submit work on due dates.
