Hasan Suleman Memorial Hospital (HSMH), a 312-bed welfare hospital under development in Malir, Karachi, is preparing to open in December 2026. Committed to delivering safe, quality, accessible, and patient-centered healthcare, HSMH is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CSSD Technician. This role is vital to the Central Sterile Services Department, ensuring the proper cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment to support hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and inspect used surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Perform cleaning, decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments following established protocols.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and other CSSD machinery.
- Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage of sterile instruments and supplies.
- Monitor and document sterilization cycles, maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct routine checks on sterilization equipment and report any malfunctions or technical issues.
- Handle, store, and distribute sterile supplies to operating theatres and other hospital departments.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols, sterilization standards, and hospital policies.
- Monitor CSSD inventory and report shortages of consumables and sterilization supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and workflow segregation within the CSSD.
- Support CSSD setup and operational readiness ahead of the hospital opening.

Required Qualifications
- Intermediate education from a recognized board (minimum requirement).
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts including morning, evening, and night.
- Ability to work on-site at the hospital location in Malir, Karachi.

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in CSSD Technology or Sterilization Services from a recognized institute.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Prior experience as a CSSD Technician is preferred, with at least 3 years being ideal.
