CureMD is the nation's largest and most trusted healthcare technology community with thousands of unique visitors per month. The community and site are rapidly expanding and CureMD is looking for a Content Editor that will play a significant role in the growth of our audience.
The Content Editor role is a good fit for anyone who stays on top of tech trends, loves reading/writing and can quickly and concisely explain interesting stories and follow up news items. The Content Editor will be expected to be up to date with both SEO and social media best practices as it pertains to content creation and promotion.
What You'll Do
- Help maintain and update our editorial calendar, produce original articles, brainstorm story ideas and titles, along with short-form content on a daily basis.
- Develop and produce original content with freelance writers, assuring consistent quality, tone and voice as well as timely delivery.
- Manage the distribution of CureMD content on other sites.
- Stay on top of healthcare technology trends to plan our editorial calendar around.
- Make great creative choices, craft clever headlines and tease copy.
- Work with PR to pitch and package content promotions to third parties.
- Work with Director of Content to come up with creative video concepts and write scripts.
- Recruit writers and influencers who fit within the CureMD brand
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in journalism and creating engaging original content.
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical and (time) management skills.
- Familiarity with SEO, affiliate marketing, A/B testing, click-tracking, and similar tools.
- A passion for tech gadgets, information technology and always finding slick deals.
