Custom WordPress Developer

We are looking for a skilled Custom WordPress Developer with practical experience in WordPress development, customization, and creating tailored functionalities. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of projects, including business websites, WooCommerce stores, custom WordPress solutions, and third-party integrations. This role demands a proactive developer who can deliver responsive, user-friendly websites while ensuring high performance and smooth integration with external services.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites according to client requirements. Build responsive and intuitive websites using WordPress themes and child themes. Create custom WordPress plugins designed specifically for project needs. Implement custom functionalities utilizing PHP, WordPress hooks, actions, filters, and APIs. Modify existing themes and plugins without affecting core functionality. Develop custom post types, taxonomies, fields, templates, and dynamic features to enhance site capabilities.

Work extensively with popular WordPress tools such as Elementor, Divi, and WooCommerce. Customize WooCommerce features including product management, checkout processes, payment gateways, shipping options, and order handling. Seamlessly integrate third-party APIs and external services with WordPress platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress errors, bugs, performance issues, and compatibility challenges. Optimize websites for speed, security, responsiveness, and SEO best practices.

Manage databases and perform basic MySQL queries as required. Handle WordPress migrations, backups, updates, and server-related troubleshooting. Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility for all websites. Collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver projects on schedule and according to specifications. Review and improve existing code to enhance functionality, performance, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

2 to 4 years of professional experience in WordPress development. Strong proficiency in PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Solid understanding of WordPress architecture and database structure. Proven experience in developing custom plugins and themes. Deep knowledge of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, shortcodes, and custom functions. Experience with WooCommerce customization and management. Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party API integrations. Working knowledge of MySQL and WordPress database management. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand project requirements and independently develop tailored solutions.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience with Git or other version control systems is preferred. The position offers remote work flexibility. Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
