We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Karachi back office, providing critical support to our Dubai headquarters team. This role involves close collaboration with the Marketing Manager and digital team to develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy for our financial services and real estate brands. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end security initiatives for websites and infrastructure, safeguarding digital assets within a dynamic and fast-paced financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overall cybersecurity strategy across multiple websites and digital platforms.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, perform threat analysis, and identify potential security risks.
- Lead efforts in web application security, network security, and infrastructure protection, including firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
- Execute technical security audits and collaborate with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
- Establish and manage incident response protocols, threat monitoring, and remediation processes.
- Guide secure development practices in partnership with IT and development teams.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on security events, incidents, and compliance using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and other monitoring tools.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), and security trends, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Manage SSL certificates, DNS security, access controls, and endpoint protection measures.
- Prepare clear and well-structured security reports and incident logs for management review.
- Coordinate cybersecurity strategy, reporting, and follow-ups with the Dubai headquarters team.
- Support the Marketing Manager with ad-hoc security analysis, risk assessments, and related tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record of protecting web assets and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of web application security principles, including the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and their impact on business operations.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, and SIEM platforms.
- Solid understanding of network security concepts, firewalls, and intrusion detection best practices.
- Experience in incident response and vulnerability management processes.
- Basic understanding of financial markets, real estate, or B2B sectors is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and content management systems like WordPress or similar platforms.
- High attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated integrity in handling confidential business information.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
This position offers a full-time contract opportunity with a duration of 24 months. The role requires working on-site in Karachi, supporting a global team. The monthly compensation ranges from Rs100,000 to Rs150,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
