Cybersecurity Instructor

Edversity, a division of the Rapidev Group of Companies based in Faisalabad, specializes in delivering practical, industry-focused IT training. The organization conducts onsite physical classes aimed at equipping young individuals with essential IT skills to prepare them for careers and freelancing opportunities in technology. Currently, Edversity is seeking a Cybersecurity Instructor to join their team. This role involves teaching both defensive and offensive cybersecurity skills through hands-on lab sessions. The instructor will primarily prepare beginners for entry-level positions such as SOC analyst, junior penetration tester, and IT security support roles.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily lectures and facilitate hands-on labs following the approved curriculum.
- Teach cybersecurity concepts progressively to trainees with little or no prior experience.
- Develop lesson plans, presentation slides, lab guides, assignments, and quizzes.
- Build and maintain isolated lab environments and Capture The Flag (CTF) style exercises.
- Promote ethical and legal use of hacking tools and techniques.
- Monitor attendance, assess trainee progress, and submit regular reports to the program team.
- Conduct additional support sessions for trainees who require extra assistance.
- Provide guidance on certification pathways such as Security+, CEH, and eJPT, as well as job application advice.
- Assist with assessments, audits, and program reviews to ensure quality and compliance.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in security operations, penetration testing, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of networking, Linux, and Windows administration.
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Basic understanding of SIEM, log analysis, and incident handling.
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts in both English and Urdu.
- Patience and a genuine passion for teaching beginners.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Participation in Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions or a proven bug bounty record.
- Previous experience in teaching, training, or mentoring roles.
