Position: Monitoring, Evaluation and  Learning (MEAL) Coordinator

Base of Operations: Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan

Overview

The MEAL Coordinator will oversee monitoring, evaluation and learning, including reporting in the Sindh regional office, in support of the project objectives. This position will report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager based in Islamabad and coordinate closely with the Program Coordinator in the Sindh regional office. This position will oversee the following staff:

·       Monitoring and Evaluation Officers

·       Information and Reporting Officer

Scope of Work

·       Oversee the execution and reporting of the M&E strategy for all activities programmed out of the regional office.

·       Contribute to the activity design process in order to ensure an appropriate M&E plan is designed for each grant activity. 

·       Lead data collection and analysis of project results and indicators and assemble data required on a recurrent basis to track program performance.

·       Contribute to the progress reports and translate M&E findings into success stories.

·       Ensure that program and activity level M&E is coordinated and in line with methodology established by the M&E manager and the client.

·       Ensure office cooperation with the Independent Monitoring Unit (IMU) and that activity information is shared in a timely and appropriate manner.

·       Provide supervision to direct reports including the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and the Information and Reporting Officer in the Karachi office.

·       Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

·       University degree in relevant field. Masters degree preferred. 

·       Minimum of 5 years of experience in related role required.

·       Relevant experience working on USAID small grants project in a related role highly preferred.

·       Understanding of USAID Performance Reporting Standards.

·       Strong computer skills (MS Office suite) required.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

·       English language fluency required. Sindhi language fluency preferred.
