Daraz-Linehaul Planning Lead-Logistics

This role focuses on leading the end-to-end planning and optimization of the linehaul network within Daraz logistics operations. The primary objective is to ensure cost efficiency, service reliability, and scalability across the transportation network. The position requires designing and implementing strategic transportation plans based on volume forecasts, service level agreements, and capacity constraints. Collaboration with various departments is essential to align linehaul strategies with commercial growth and seasonal demand changes. The role also involves developing dynamic routing and scheduling models using data analytics and optimization tools to enhance asset utilization and reduce transit times. Close partnership with carriers, third-party logistics providers, and internal teams is necessary to execute plans effectively, monitor key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the comprehensive planning and optimization of the linehaul network to support logistics operations, focusing on cost control, reliability, and scalability.
- Design and deploy strategic transportation plans across critical trade lanes, leveraging volume forecasts, service level agreements, and capacity limitations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure linehaul strategies are aligned with commercial growth objectives and seasonal demand fluctuations.
- Utilize data analytics and optimization tools to build dynamic routing and scheduling models that improve asset utilization and decrease transit times.
- Work closely with carriers, 3PL partners, and internal operations teams to implement transportation plans, track KPIs such as transit compliance and cost per parcel, and promote continuous improvement through detailed root-cause analysis and corrective measures.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or large-scale e-commerce supply chain planning.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as SQL or AI-based technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of global trade compliance, carrier management, and multimodal transportation economics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities, capable of influencing cross-functional teams and translating complex operational data into actionable business insights.
