Data Analyst – Spinning Procurement

Premium Textile is looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst with hands-on procurement experience in the textile industry, particularly with exposure to spinning operations and raw material requirements. This role combines analytical skills with practical sourcing knowledge to transform procurement and production data into actionable insights. The successful candidate will help drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and enhance spinning supply efficiency by leveraging data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Data & Analytics
- Develop and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to monitor procurement spend, inventory levels, and spinning input requirements.
- Analyze consumption patterns of cotton, yarn, and fiber, including waste percentages and yield trends, to accurately forecast spinning needs.
- Create data models to evaluate supplier performance, lead times, price fluctuations, and on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery metrics.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through detailed spend analysis and demand forecasting.

Procurement & Spinning Support
- Work closely with spinning and production teams to convert production plans into precise raw material requirements.
- Support the sourcing process for cotton, yarn, and fiber by interpreting data-driven demand signals.
- Monitor stock levels, reorder points, and consumption trends to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Assist in supplier evaluation, provide negotiation support, and track contracts using data-backed insights.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Statistics, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing within the textile industry, with strong preference for candidates familiar with spinning operations.
- Solid understanding of spinning requirements, including fiber specifications, yarn counts, consumption ratios, and waste factors.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python is highly desirable.
