Data Analyst Level 1

Pegasus Mortgages Lending Center, a multinational mortgage brokerage with offices in Toronto, Canada, and Miami, USA, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Level 1 to join their team. Key Responsibilities
Assist in gathering data from diverse sources including databases, spreadsheets, and external APIs, ensuring data accuracy through thorough validation and cleaning. Maintain and update data records systematically to enable efficient retrieval and analysis. Support data analysis efforts by developing and executing scripts or queries using tools such as Python, R, or SQL, and prepare basic reports and visualizations to highlight key insights. Perform quality assurance checks to detect inconsistencies or anomalies in data, working collaboratively with team members to resolve any issues. Document data sources, methodologies, and analysis procedures clearly and maintain records of results for future reference. Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other colleagues to understand project goals, participate in meetings, and contribute ideas to enhance data workflows.

Required Qualifications
A four-year post-secondary degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is essential. Candidates should have two to three years of experience in Database Administration. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity are critical. Basic familiarity with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, cloud-based platforms, and internet applications is required. Effective communication skills are necessary to clearly and logically present ideas and customer information. The ideal candidate will be self-driven with excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates must have a desktop workstation that meets company specifications, including at least two hours of battery backup, along with a headset equipped with a microphone for communication. A reliable internet connection with backup power options such as UPS or a generator is required to ensure uninterrupted work. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs80,000 to Rs100,000. The role is fully remote and aligned with Eastern Standard Time (Toronto time), Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
