A Data Analyst plays a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive informed business decisions. This role involves collecting data from multiple sources, applying statistical techniques and data modeling, and presenting the results through intuitive dashboards and visualizations to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing large datasets, performing advanced analyses, and communicating findings effectively to support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust data pipelines and ETL workflows using Apache Airflow and Google Cloud Dataflow.
- Extract and analyze extensive datasets from relational databases such as BigQuery, Redshift, Oracle, and Teradata using SQL.
- Conduct data analysis leveraging Python and SQL, applying advanced statistical methods to uncover trends and insights.
- Create compelling data visualizations with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or R-Shiny to facilitate decision-making.
- Perform hypothesis testing and A/B testing to validate business assumptions and guide strategy.
- Utilize Git for version control to ensure collaborative and efficient development processes.
- Optimize complex database queries and develop views that integrate data across multiple tables.
- Communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively to business stakeholders, enabling data-driven decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating workflows.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Dataflow and ETL process development.
- Experience working with relational databases including BigQuery, Redshift, Oracle, or Teradata.
- Skilled in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or R-Shiny.
- Proficient in using Git for version control and collaborative coding.
