Data Architect

The Data Architect will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data architectures that support advanced analytics, AI, and business intelligence initiatives. This position involves defining data models, establishing data standards, and managing data integration workflows across various systems and platforms. The Data Architect will work closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into effective data solutions, optimize data pipelines, and ensure data quality, security, and compliance. Additionally, the role includes evaluating emerging tools and technologies, contributing to architectural roadmaps, and developing documentation and guidelines for data governance. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable data architectures to support analytics, AI, and BI initiatives.
- Define data models and establish data standards to ensure consistency and quality across systems.
- Oversee data integration workflows and ETL processes across multiple platforms and environments.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with governance policies and industry standards.
- Evaluate new data tools and technologies to enhance architectural capabilities.
- Develop and maintain documentation, guidelines, and best practices for data usage and governance.
- Contribute to the development of architectural roadmaps aligned with business goals.

Required Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Data Architecture and Data Modeling, with proven experience designing scalable and secure data solutions.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes and Data Warehousing, including modern data platforms and cloud-based environments.
- Solid understanding of Data Governance practices, including data quality, metadata management, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, data lake architectures, and analytics or BI tools.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Strong documentation skills for data architectures, standards, and governance policies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
