Data Engineer (Onsite, Evening Shift, Lahore, PKR Salary)

We are seeking an experienced data professional with over six years in roles such as Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in SQL, data processing, and visualization, combined with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. This role requires someone highly organized and proactive, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and skilled at collaborating across multiple teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define, manage, and optimize data pipelines, including ingestion from internal systems, external sources, and APIs.
- Clean, validate, and transform raw data to prepare it for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries to extract data, build metrics, and support business decisions.
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and automated reports tailored for cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, operations, and leadership teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Monitor data quality, integrity, and system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for datasets, definitions, dashboards, and key metrics.
- Promote a data-driven culture by enabling teams to confidently and effectively utilize data.
- Continuously assess and recommend improvements to the company’s data tools, architecture, and processes.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a data-focused role such as Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing optimized queries involving joins, aggregations, filters, and common table expressions (CTEs).
- Proven expertise in data cleaning, transformation, and managing ETL/ELT workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar platforms for data processing, notebook development, or workflow management.
- Skilled in building dashboards using tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Ability to design clear and intuitive dashboards accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking with the capability to convert data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex findings in a simple and clear manner.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working proactively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with machine learning techniques including regression, classification, clustering, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis, modeling, or automation tasks.
- Exposure to SaaS or healthcare datasets is preferred.
- Experience working with large datasets and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, or setting up data catalogs.

Work Schedule:
This position operates on a schedule from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
