Data Engineer (Tableau & Microsoft Fabric) II Immediate Joiners

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Tableau dashboard development, reporting, and business intelligence. The successful candidate will play a key role in rebuilding, optimizing, and migrating existing Tableau dashboards as part of a data warehouse modernization project involving Microsoft Fabric. This position focuses on transitioning reporting solutions from an on-premises Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse to Microsoft Fabric, while also supporting the migration from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud. A solid understanding of Tableau, advanced SQL skills, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze current Tableau dashboards, reports, and data sources to understand business needs and reporting logic.
- Rebuild, enhance, and optimize Tableau dashboards using Microsoft Fabric as the data source.
- Establish and maintain connections between Tableau, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Fabric to ensure seamless data integration and reliable reporting.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to support reporting and data analysis.
- Configure Tableau data sources, extracts, calculations, filters, parameters, and improve dashboard performance.
- Support the migration of dashboards and reporting solutions from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud.
- Validate data accuracy, report calculations, and business metrics to maintain consistency between existing and migrated dashboards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, report owners, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver effective reporting solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues related to dashboards, connectivity, data refresh, and performance within Tableau and Microsoft Fabric environments.
- Document dashboard functionality, data sources, transformation logic, and migration processes.
- Assist with data modeling and warehouse optimization activities within Microsoft Fabric to ensure efficient reporting.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or BI Development.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Tableau development.
- Proven track record in developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex Tableau dashboards.
- Practical experience working with Microsoft Fabric, preferably with Fabric Data Warehouse.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server-based data warehouses and enterprise reporting environments.
- Strong skills in advanced SQL, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, and query performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data relationships, reporting structures, and data quality validation.
- Demonstrated ability to migrate or rebuild dashboards and reporting solutions on modern data platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
