A well-established manufacturer in Pakistan’s packaging sector, with over three decades of industry experience, is seeking an Accounts Assistant for its Karachi office. This role plays a crucial part in supporting manufacturing operations by accurately capturing, verifying, and recording daily production data. The position aims to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain strict control over raw material consumption. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with floor supervisors and engineers to ensure precise record-keeping that supports production efficiency and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter daily operational data from factory floor logs, including machine runtime, setups, production outputs, and job breakdowns.
- Record detailed weights and specifications of substrates such as BOPP, PET, PE, CPP, and lamination inputs, including solventless and solvent-based adhesive batches.
- Track waste and scrap metrics across multiple production lines, including Rotogravure printing, Flexographic printing, extrusion, and slitting, to monitor plant efficiency.
- Cross-verify physical floor sheets against system entries to identify and resolve discrepancies before finalizing daily batch records.
- Support the supply chain team by logging finished roll inventories, core weights, and remaining raw material stock on the factory floor.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports summarizing floor performance and waste data for Plant Management and Executive teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree minimum, preferably in mathematics, accounting, or industrial metrics.
- Around 2 years of relevant experience in data entry, ideally within industrial manufacturing, factory, or warehousing environments.
- High-speed alphanumeric data entry skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy and zero tolerance for errors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and data tables, along with familiarity with basic database systems or ERP software.
- Exceptional attention to detail when managing complex numerical data, product codes, unit conversions (KG, GSM, Microns), and job run counts.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while collaborating effectively with floor supervisors and engineers.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Location: FB Area, Karachi.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM.
- Compensation: Starting salary of Rs. 50,000 per month.
