This role is designed for a hands-on data professional with expertise in managing data platforms and production workflows. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, enhancing system operations, and ensuring the reliability of the data platform from initial investigation through resolution. Collaborating closely with a small, agile data team, you will operate and secure the platform, manage workflows and integrations, monitor performance, and support testing and release activities. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics, you will play a vital role in maintaining a scalable, secure, and well-documented data environment that supports the company’s growth.

- Administer users, roles, permissions, and service accounts, applying least-privilege access and secure credential management practices such as row-level security.
- Monitor pipeline freshness, data volume, and failures; promptly investigate and resolve issues to prevent recurrence.
- Support GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and documented release processes for platform and pipeline changes.
- Assess downstream impacts of access and configuration changes, coordinating closely with analytics engineers and analysts.
- Document operational procedures, ownership, and recovery steps to maintain platform reliability and knowledge sharing.
- Identify and escalate security risks to executive leadership and actively participate in remediation efforts.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support platform stability and growth.

- Familiarity with Git, collaborative testing, and release management practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, thorough documentation, and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to coordinate platform changes with analytics teams and assess downstream effects.
- Commitment to ongoing security awareness training and adherence to company policies.

- Understanding of APIs, OAuth, service accounts, and secure credential management.
- Background supporting growing companies with evolving systems or acquisitions.
- Experience in IT, VAR, distribution, or supply chain data environments.

Success in this position means quickly detecting and resolving workflow failures, stale data, and unusual data volume changes. Platform configurations, integrations, and access controls are managed securely and consistently. Ingestion workflows have clear ownership, documentation, and recovery procedures. New data sources and integrations are added through repeatable, well-documented processes. Platform and pipeline changes are tested, documented, and coordinated with downstream teams. Analytics engineers and analysts rely on stable, timely data and platform services. Platform operations are thoroughly documented, avoiding reliance on undocumented knowledge held by any single individual.
