The Data Scientist role at NextGen Learners is a full-time, on-site position based in Islāmābād, Pakistan. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, clean, and analyze diverse datasets that support the organization’s learning products, community programs, and strategic initiatives. Daily responsibilities include developing predictive models, conducting exploratory data analysis, and creating dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. The role also involves designing experiments, evaluating model performance, and contributing to data-driven projects that enhance the learning experience for community members. Additionally, the Data Scientist will document methodologies, adhere to best practices in reproducible research, and stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, clean, and analyze data supporting learning products and community initiatives.
- Build and validate predictive models to inform decision-making and improve user experiences.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Develop clear, engaging dashboards and visualizations tailored to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate model effectiveness.
- Document analytical processes and maintain reproducible research standards.
- Stay current with emerging data science tools, techniques, and industry trends.
- Contribute to data-driven content and projects that enhance educational outcomes for the community.

Required Qualifications

- Strong expertise in data science and analytics, including model building and insight generation.
- Solid foundation in statistics and data analysis for experimental design, hypothesis testing, and result interpretation.
- Proficiency in data visualization techniques to create impactful reports and dashboards.
- Experience with programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R, and familiarity with libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, or TensorFlow.
- Working knowledge of databases and query languages such as SQL.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to present complex findings clearly.
