In this role, the Accounts Officer coordinates with multiple departments including Construction, Procurement, and Administration to track project-related costs and ensure that all financial data is up-to-date and compliant with organizational policies. The position demands strong attention to detail, a sound understanding of accounting practices, and the ability to maintain proper financial records, including petty cash, labor, material, and construction costs. Although this role does not include team management, it requires effective communication and collaboration skills to liaise with various stakeholders involved in project finance.
Responsibilities

Maintain daily accounting records and document all financial transactions accurately to reflect the companys financial status.
Manage petty cash and project or site-related expenses ensuring proper authorization and accurate record-keeping.
Verify and process bills and invoices presented by contractors and vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed terms.
Maintain detailed records of all payments and receipts, ensuring that all financial documents are organized and up to date.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and vendor accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure correctness.
Track and monitor project-wise expenses and costs to support budget control and financial planning for ongoing and future projects.
Maintain comprehensive records related to material costs, labor expenses, and overall construction costs associated with the projects.
Monitor site expenses closely and ensure all expenditures have complete and proper documentation for audit purposes.
Prepare monthly financial and expense reports to provide management with clear insights into project spending and financial status.
Collaborate with Construction, Procurement, and Administrative departments to facilitate the smooth flow of financial information and resolve any discrepancies.
