Creating polished documents and deliverables based on directions, notes and preliminary guidance from the CEO. These will include memos, spreadsheets, documents, instruction manuals, and presentations
Performing online research
Helping formulate written communications to key partners
Communicate with other employees in the organization on the CEO’s behalf
Helping supervise and monitor other employees in the organization on the CEO’s behalf
Writing copy for templated outreach emails
Possibly helping with recruiting and growing our team
Planning and launching new initiatives within our portfolio companies
Various administrative tasks relating to our portfolio companies
General skills and abilities:
Extremely strong written English communication skills with highly polished western grammar. This is essential, as this role involves communication with outside parties who are not based in Pakistan.
Ability to be clear and precise in your thinking and writing.
Attention to detail is crucial.
Ability to learn quickly. You will be working in multiple business areas, and we will be using multiple tools, and platforms. There will always be a learning curve in whatever you are doing. If you enjoy learning, this is a great role for you.
Strong research skills and resourcefulness in gathering information
Self-organization: you need to be very organized in this role
Ability to manage projects and tasks.
Analytical skills. You will be asked to perform analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and make conclusions or recommendations.
Software and platforms
Familiarity with Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides are crucial
Excel and Power point fluency are important
In Excel and Google sheets, the ability to organize, manipulate, analyze and draw conclusions from data sets is a huge plus -- using pivot tables, data tables, etc.
Familiarity with and experience with basic internet business infrastructure (ex. Wordpress, database platforms such as Airtable) a big plus
Personality and Attitude:
You need to be very self-motivated.
Attentiveness and responsiveness. You must be an “on top of it” person, excited to pitch in, help, respond, and engage.
You must be excited to work and be challenged.

You need to be or become familiar with distributed team productivity platforms such as video conferencing (Ex. Google hangouts) and company chat (ex. Glip, which is what we use, which is simlar to Slack)
Because we are a distributed organization, written communication is extremely important -- clear messages in company chat, well and precisely articulated documents, etc. form the backbone of our collaboration.
This is something you should be very comfortable with.

Nobody is going to be looking over your shoulder constantly.
You need to be trustworthy as you will be managing confidential organization for the company
Background and Experience:
Business education and/or experience is crucial
Undergraduate degree in business or related field (marketing, economics, finance, statistics, math) is extremely helpful, MBA or related advanced degree is a big plus.
Experience and knowledge of other relevant fields for internet businesses is extremely helpful: ex. Digital marketing, Customer Acquisition, Growth Hacking, e-mail marketing, Social Media
This role is extremely rewarding and fascinating in and of itself
However, based on the interest of the employee, after a few years of strong performance in this role, there can be a path to a specific operating roles in one of Dawn Equity’s portfolio companies.
