This position involves providing safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care and early learning experiences for young children. The role ensures that children’s physical, emotional, social, and educational needs are met throughout the daycare hours. The candidate will supervise children, plan and implement age-appropriate activities, and maintain a clean, hygienic, and child-friendly environment. Daily routines such as feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene support are part of the responsibilities. Monitoring children’s behavior, health, and overall development is essential, along with maintaining attendance and basic daycare records. Effective communication with parents about their children’s daily activities and needs is required. The role also involves ensuring compliance with safety and child protection policies and coordinating with the Daycare Incharge and other staff to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide safe and caring supervision for children during daycare hours.
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate learning, play, and creative activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hygienic, and child-friendly environment.
- Assist children with feeding, toileting, personal hygiene, and other daily routines.
- Monitor and observe children’s behavior, health, and developmental progress.
- Maintain attendance records and other basic daycare documentation.
- Communicate professionally and regularly with parents regarding their children’s activities and needs.
- Ensure adherence to daycare safety protocols and child protection procedures.
- Collaborate with the Daycare Incharge and other staff members to facilitate smooth daycare operations.

Required Qualifications

- Graduation is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in childcare or daycare settings.

Preferred Qualifications

- A Master’s degree is desirable.
- Candidates with 5 years or more of experience will be given preference.

Applicants must submit scanned copies of all academic and professional documents. The final education certificate or degree must be attested or verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Candidates may be disqualified if they have a third division in their academic record or a weak academic profile. Employees of NUST with less than one year of service or without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Institution are not eligible. Candidates currently pursuing the required degree or those medically unfit will also be considered ineligible. Government employees and armed forces personnel must apply through their respective parent departments or organizations.
