QA Quality Assurance/QC Quality Control

Dekalb Trade Voice is seeking a dedicated QA Quality Assurance/QC Quality Control professional to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of quality within the textile industry by overseeing both the processes and the final products. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience, demonstrating expertise in quality audits, ISO 9001 quality management systems, and corrective and preventive actions. In addition to managing a team of three, the candidate will be responsible for setting up quality assurance processes, conducting detailed inspections, and maintaining compliance with industry standards to prevent defects and promote safety. The role emphasizes a balanced approach to quality through both assurance and control activities. The professional will lead quality audits, execute product testing, and perform thorough inspections of raw materials, equipment, and outputs. Strong documentation skills and the ability to analyze and resolve quality issues quickly are essential. The candidate will also play a key role in training and guiding the team to uphold rigorous quality standards while fostering continuous improvement within Dekalb Trade Voice.
Responsibilities

Conduct quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001 standards to evaluate compliance across production processes and ensure adherence to company policies.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and manuals aimed at injury prevention and process standardization before production begins.
Lead a team of three quality professionals, providing guidance on inspection protocols, quality control procedures, and best practices.
Perform comprehensive inspections and testing of raw materials, equipment, and finished products against established project guidelines to detect and address defects early.
Document inspection results thoroughly, maintain detailed logs, and prepare clear inspection reports highlighting non-conforming items and corrective actions.
Investigate quality issues by identifying root causes and collaborating with relevant departments to implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations, monitoring ongoing adherence to both internal and external requirements.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean 6 Sigma to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Utilize Microsoft Office and Excel tools to track quality metrics, analyze trends, and facilitate reporting for management review.
Support team training and development regarding quality standards, testing techniques, and safety protocols to maintain a high level of workforce competency.
