You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of the leather store, including inventory management, stock handling, quality control, and team supervision. The role ensures the proper storage, issuance, and record-keeping of leather materials while maintaining compliance with company policies and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Supervise the receiving, inspection, and storage of leather materials.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels through regular stock counts and updates in the system.
  • Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and arrangement of leather to prevent damage.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and production departments for stock replenishment.

2. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Inspect incoming leather materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions to prevent spoilage or degradation.
  • Enforce safety and housekeeping standards in the store area.

3. Issuance & Record-Keeping

  • Ensure timely issuance of leather materials to production based on approved requisitions.
  • Maintain updated records of stock movement using manual logs and ERP systems.
  • Generate stock reports and share them with relevant departments.

4. Team Supervision & Coordination

  • Lead and supervise store staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Assign tasks and monitor the performance of store assistants.
  • Train store personnel on inventory management procedures and safety practices.

5. Coordination with Other Departments

  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality control teams for smooth material flow.
  • Provide feedback on leather stock levels and quality issues to management.
  • Assist in planning for future leather requirements based on production needs.

6. Safety & Housekeeping

  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the storage area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the store.
