Delivery Manager

Cogent Labs is seeking a Delivery Manager to join its Lahore office on a full-time, on-site basis. The Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of assigned projects from kickoff through go-live. This role involves driving day-to-day project progress, ensuring teams remain unblocked, and maintaining clear communication with clients. Reporting directly to the Head of Delivery, the Delivery Manager will translate product requirement documents (PRDs) into actionable sprints, coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, QA specialists, and designers, and act as the primary client liaison for project status and deliverables. The ideal candidate will be proactive in managing scope, timelines, and client expectations to prevent project delays and dissatisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Break down PRDs into epics, sprints, and tasks with realistic timelines developed in collaboration with engineering and QA teams. Independently manage discovery sprints and maintain clear project plans.
- Team Coordination: Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and remove blockers for engineers, QAs, and designers. Manage dependencies and resource needs proactively.
- Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular status updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns early to avoid escalation.
- Scope & Change Management: Protect project scope by assessing the impact of client change requests on timelines and resources, documenting changes, and escalating when necessary.
- Quality Oversight: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards before UAT submission by coordinating with QA to minimize rework and back-and-forth.
- UAT Management: Prepare clients for User Acceptance Testing, gather feedback efficiently, prioritize fixes, and drive towards timely sign-off.
- Risk Identification: Identify risks such as technical debt, unclear requirements, or capacity issues early, and propose solutions when escalating to the Head of Delivery.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, deliver timely weekly status reports, and keep project management tools updated for portfolio visibility.
- SDLC Compliance: Adhere to company standards for sprint cadence, code reviews, QA cycles, and deployment procedures throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Go-Live Coordination: Plan and execute smooth project launches, coordinate go-live timing with clients, ensure rollback plans are in place, and manage post-launch support until stabilization.

Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in project or delivery management within software services, product development, or agency environments. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering through deployment.
- Technical aptitude to comprehend software development processes, read sprint boards, engage in technical discussions, and evaluate estimates effectively.
- Excellent client-facing skills, comfortable leading meetings, presenting updates, and managing difficult conversations regarding timelines and scope changes.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of juggling multiple projects while maintaining up-to-date documentation and project tools.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring meetings have clear agendas and outcomes, and status reports are meaningful.
- Proactive problem solver who identifies risks and proposes actionable solutions rather than just reporting issues.
- Team-oriented mindset, able to collaborate effectively with engineers, QAs, and designers, earning respect through competence and support rather than authority.
- Ownership mentality, taking full responsibility for assigned projects and acting decisively to resolve issues or escalate when necessary.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Linear, or similar platforms, along with documentation, time tracking, and basic reporting tools.
