Delivery Manager Treasury

This role involves managing and coordinating the delivery of core banking transformation projects, with a particular focus on treasury modules within the Temenos platform. The candidate will be responsible for planning, technical oversight, risk and change management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project execution. Collaboration with multiple teams, including engineering, infrastructure, and vendor partners, is essential to align technical requirements and deliver milestones on time. The position demands a strong understanding of treasury operations and the ability to drive digitization and automation initiatives while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plan / WBS Creation and Coordination: Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and project plans for assigned delivery buckets, clearly outlining tasks, timelines, and milestones. Coordinate closely with team leads and stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall project objectives. Establish effective communication channels and protocols to facilitate collaboration across teams.

Technical Oversight: Gain a thorough understanding of the technical aspects related to core banking transformation, particularly in the treasury domain. Collaborate with technical teams—including Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure & Operations, and Centers of Excellence—to clarify requirements and support the successful delivery of project milestones.

Delivery Status Assessment: Implement processes to monitor and assess delivery progress against milestones. Ensure that all deliverables meet stakeholder expectations and adhere to program delivery standards. Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify and address areas for improvement.

Treasury Transformation: Oversee the configuration, customization, and integration of core Temenos Treasury modules such as FX, Money Market, Swaps, Options, Fixed Income, FOREX, REPO, Securities, Limits, Nostro Reconciliation, SWIFT, and Derivatives. Act as the primary liaison between Treasury business units (Front, Middle, Back Office), vendor teams (Temenos and integrators), and internal IT infrastructure teams. Ensure technical designs align with architectural blueprints, minimizing custom code by leveraging out-of-the-box Temenos capabilities. Identify opportunities for digitization, automation, and straight-through processing (STP).

Risk Management: Manage project risks, dependencies, and scope changes. Oversee comprehensive testing cycles including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Performance Testing, with a focus on treasury accounting and compliance reporting.

Stakeholder Management: Understand organizational hierarchy and team structures to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Manage expectations by providing regular project updates and addressing concerns promptly.

Change Management: Track and assess all incoming changes related to delivery scope or milestone timelines. Evaluate the necessity and impact of changes, providing visibility to the core management team. Follow established change management processes to ensure controlled implementation.

Vendor Communication and Management: Coordinate with Temenos and designated implementation partners across all levels. Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations and resolve any disputes or issues promptly. Facilitate communication with other vendors as required through IT vendor management channels.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related qualitative discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in banking, project management, or technology management within a leading bank or financial institution.
- Proven experience in managing complex delivery projects, preferably in core banking or treasury transformation.

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP certification or equivalent project/delivery management certification is desirable.
