We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Demand & Supply Planner to oversee demand forecasting, inventory management, replenishment, and supply availability across pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and medical device product lines. The successful candidate will leverage data and market insights to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimize stock-outs and overstock situations, and manage product expiry effectively. This role requires strong analytical capabilities and hands-on experience in translating sales forecasts into actionable procurement and supply plans within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, consumption trends, sales inputs, market dynamics, tenders, institutional requirements, and business projections.
Supply & Replenishment Planning: Create purchase and replenishment plans considering current inventory, open purchase orders, in-transit stock, supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, safety stock, and reorder points to ensure continuous supply.
Inventory Optimization: Monitor stock levels regularly and recommend strategies to reduce stock-outs, excess inventory, slow-moving and non-moving items, as well as products nearing expiry.
Expiry & Shelf-Life Management: Track batch-level inventory, shelf life, and expiry dates while ensuring compliance with FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles to maintain effective stock rotation.
Import & Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with international principals, suppliers, procurement, and logistics teams to monitor purchase orders, pro forma invoices, shipment schedules, expected arrival dates, and address any supply delays.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Sales, Commercial, Finance, Warehouse, Regulatory, and other departments to align inventory availability with business needs and operational plans.
Tender & Business Planning: Support demand planning activities related to tenders, institutional orders, new product launches, promotional campaigns, and adjustments in the product portfolio.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular demand forecasts, inventory reports, stock coverage analyses, replenishment plans, and exception reports for management review.
System & Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning data within the ERP system, identify inventory risks, forecast variances, and supply gaps, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
