We are seeking a Demand & Supply Planner to join our team in the pharmaceuticals and medical devices sector, based in Islamabad/Rawalpindi. This full-time role involves managing demand forecasting, supply planning, replenishment, and inventory optimization across a diverse portfolio of pharmaceutical and medical device products. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring product availability while minimizing inventory risks and supporting business growth through data-driven planning and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts by analyzing sales trends, consumption patterns, market demand, tenders, and business plans.
- Prepare replenishment plans that take into account stock levels, open orders, in-transit inventory, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQ), safety stock, and reorder points.
- Monitor inventory to reduce stock-outs, overstock situations, slow-moving, non-moving, and near-expiry products.
- Manage batch control, shelf-life, expiry dates, and First Expiry First Out (FEFO) requirements for pharmaceutical and medical device products.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Commercial, Finance, Logistics, Warehouse, Regulatory teams, and international principals to ensure seamless product availability.
- Track purchase orders, proforma invoices (PFIs), shipments, backorders, and expected delivery dates to maintain supply chain visibility.
- Support planning activities related to new product launches, tenders, institutional business, and portfolio changes.
- Prepare detailed inventory and supply reports, providing actionable, data-driven recommendations to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management.
- Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory optimization, safety stock calculations, reorder points, and supply planning principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with SAP/SAP Business One and Power BI is a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare distribution is highly preferred.
