The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) is seeking a highly experienced professional to join its Examination Branch. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience managing undergraduate and postgraduate programs and examinations at the university level. Candidates with a background in the armed forces, particularly retired personnel at the rank of Lt Colonel, Colonel, or equivalent, with appropriate experience, are also encouraged to apply. The role demands strong organizational and leadership skills to ensure the smooth conduct of exams, result compilation, and academic administration within the department.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee all examination-related activities, including organizing Mid-Semester Exams, End-Semester Exams, and PhD qualifying exams. They will exercise command over the Examination Cell personnel and coordinate with the NUST Main Office regarding registration and examination correspondence. Preparing and presenting UG and PG results in Faculty Board of Studies meetings, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring strict adherence to Examination Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are critical duties.

Maintaining comprehensive student records, managing invigilation assignments, and addressing academic documentation issues for postgraduate students will be part of the daily responsibilities. The role also involves processing deferment, suspension, and withdrawal cases, monitoring postgraduate coursework progress, and ensuring proper documentation during thesis defense and evaluation stages. Approving thesis-related forms and tracking student progress through the Thesis Management System (TMS) is essential.

The candidate will supervise new postgraduate student registrations, coordinate examination activities with various departments, and participate in academic and administrative meetings. Handling disciplinary cases in line with Examination Disciplinary Committee decisions and conducting orientation sessions for new faculty on examination policies are also expected. Additionally, coordination with the accounts office for fee submission and follow-up on defaulters is required.

Required Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Education, Management, Computer Science, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational and administrative capabilities, strong written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in examination management software or ERP systems. High integrity, confidentiality, fairness, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines are essential. Leadership and team management skills, along with a solid understanding of HEC policies, university examination rules, and academic frameworks, are required.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
Retired Armed Forces personnel with relevant experience are eligible to apply, bringing valuable discipline and leadership qualities to the role. Candidates must provide attested copies of their academic and professional documents, with the last degree verified by HEC.

Applicants with a weak academic record (3rd division), less than one year of service at NUST without a No Objection Certificate (NOC), those currently pursuing a required degree, or medically unfit individuals will not be considered. Government or armed forces employees should apply through their parent organizations.
