Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee revenue assurance and compliance within the Distribution business, particularly focusing on the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). This includes applying procedures aligned with the compliance framework on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to identify, investigate, and report risks, policy deviations, regulatory non-compliance, control weaknesses, and revenue leakages.

The role also involves ensuring timely resolution of identified errors and discrepancies, while developing system-based controls within SAP to minimize risk, enhance efficiency, and protect the company’s values. Additionally, the position requires identifying governance issues and recommending controls or actions to improve the governance environment. Handling queries raised by Internal Audit is also a key aspect of this role.

Specific duties include:
- Performing detailed analysis as outlined in the Compliance Framework to detect procedural non-compliance in billing, identifying unbilled revenue, and validating findings through sample field visits for management reporting.
- Analyzing Smart Meter scalar reads, load profiles, and other parameters to uncover process gaps and revenue leakages.
- Escalating critical issues promptly to management and obtaining feedback from relevant stakeholders.
- Recommending solutions based on thorough knowledge of observations and processes, which may involve improving controls, revising policies, or collaborating with departments such as Business Strategy, IT, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Maintaining comprehensive tracking of all issues, including their status and resolution dates.
- Supporting billing analysis across the organization to identify potential process non-compliances and contributing to the development or modification of system controls and policies to mitigate risks.
- Coordinating and conducting regular meetings with Distribution management and stakeholders to escalate issues and review feedback on open observations.
- Assisting the Team Lead in completing assigned tasks and ensuring smooth communication across teams.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics), Professional Accounting, or MBA.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), including HES, MDMS, and Smart Meters, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with audit, compliance, and assurance processes is preferred.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of risk-based audit approaches.
- Financial and business acumen.
- Proficiency in SAP-ISU and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in policy and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation.
- Knowledge of Power BI for dashboard creation, Power BI services and workspace, Power Automate, and other automation tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities.

Additional Attributes
- Methodical and logical approach to work with clear and effective communication skills.
- Confidence in engaging with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
