Government Holdings (Private) Limited (GHPL) is seeking a Deputy Manager for its Engineering & Process division. This role involves overseeing engineering operations and process management to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving process improvements, managing technical projects, and supporting the company’s strategic objectives within the engineering domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering and process-related activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support project execution, including design, procurement, and commissioning phases.
- Conduct technical evaluations and provide expert recommendations for engineering solutions and process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout all engineering processes.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, reports, and technical records related to engineering projects and process changes.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues, providing guidance to junior staff and contractors.
- Assist in budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management to optimize project delivery and operational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering and process management, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of process engineering principles, project management, and quality assurance practices.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and engineering applications.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- A Master’s degree or professional certification in engineering or project management is advantageous.
- Experience working in a government or semi-government organization will be considered a plus.
