Government Holdings (Private) Limited (GHPL) is seeking a qualified and motivated professional for the position of Deputy Manager (Geology). This role involves contributing to the company’s exploration and development projects by applying geological expertise to support decision-making and operational activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient resource evaluation and management, while adhering to industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct geological studies and evaluations to support exploration and development activities.
- Analyze geological data, including well logs, core samples, and seismic information, to identify potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
- Prepare detailed geological reports, maps, and models to assist in resource estimation and project planning.
- Collaborate with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and other technical staff to integrate geological findings into overall project strategies.
- Monitor and interpret drilling data to provide real-time geological input during drilling operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all geological activities.
- Support the preparation of budgets, work plans, and technical proposals related to geological projects.
- Participate in fieldwork, including site visits and sampling, to gather relevant geological information.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends to enhance geological practices within the company.

Required Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in exploration and production environments.
- Strong knowledge of geological software and tools used for data analysis and modeling.
- Proven ability to interpret complex geological data and produce accurate technical documentation.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in geological operations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
