We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Deputy Manager – Human Resources to join our team in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the FMCG or Manufacturing sectors and proven expertise in managing the entire employee lifecycle. This role demands a dynamic HR professional capable of driving operational excellence, enhancing employee relations, and fostering a positive organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including coordinating with agencies, negotiating offers, and managing onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for all employees.

Payroll, Statutory & Compensation Operations:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, incentives, bonuses, and final settlements. Oversee statutory payments and reconciliations related to EOBI, SESSI, corporate vendors such as Jazz, Tracker, and health insurance providers.

HR Policy, Compliance & Audits:
Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and standard operating procedures to maintain operational efficiency. Delegate responsibilities within the team to ensure compliance with all internal and external audit requirements.

Employee Engagement & Culture:
Drive initiatives that promote organizational culture, including reward and recognition programs, town halls, and employee engagement events. Serve as a key liaison between management and staff to cultivate a healthy and productive work environment.

Employee Relations, Learning & Development, and HR Technology:
Manage grievance handling, conflict resolution, counseling, and exit interviews to analyze turnover trends. Oversee training and development programs, university partnerships, and maintain updates on the company’s intranet portal.

Required Qualifications

Education:
MBA or MPA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:
6 to 8 years of progressive HR generalist or operations experience, specifically within FMCG or manufacturing industries.

Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (such as Manatal), HR Information Systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Key Skills:
Strong understanding of local labor laws, vendor negotiation expertise, conflict resolution skills, and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
