The Deputy Manager, Human Resources at the campus level plays a pivotal role in driving and executing HR strategies that align with the institution’s goals. This position is responsible for managing all facets of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, compensation, and ensuring compliance with healthcare labor laws and standards. Acting as a strategic partner to hospital leadership, the Deputy Manager fosters a positive work environment that supports high performance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures in line with institutional objectives and healthcare regulations.
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle, ensuring timely and effective talent acquisition to meet the hospital’s staffing needs.
- Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a collaborative workplace culture.
- Lead performance management processes, including appraisals, feedback mechanisms, and improvement plans.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and support career growth.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with labor laws.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare labor laws and standards, maintaining a compliant and ethical workplace.
- Collaborate closely with hospital leadership to align HR practices with organizational goals and promote a high-performing culture.
- Support initiatives that uphold the institution’s zero-tolerance policy on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, including rigorous background checks for all candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a human resources management role, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, particularly those relevant to healthcare environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and learning and development programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and senior leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
