Pakistan WAPDA Foundation is seeking a qualified professional to join their team as a Deputy Manager (Technical) for the Power Transformer Engineering Services Unit (PTESU) in Lahore. This position is classified under BPS-18 and is specifically targeted at retired electrical engineers from WAPDA, DISCOs, or NGC with substantial experience in power transformers. The role involves overseeing technical operations related to power transformers, ensuring quality control, and contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of power infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise technical activities related to power transformers within the PTESU.
- Provide expert guidance on the design, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power transformers.
- Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure timely execution of transformer-related projects.
- Oversee quality assurance processes and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations for improvements in transformer operations.
- Support training and development initiatives for junior engineers and technical staff.
- Assist in procurement and evaluation of transformer equipment and services.
- Monitor transformer performance and implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Retired electrical engineers from WAPDA, DISCOs, or NGC with a strong background in power transformers.
- Proven experience in the technical management of power transformers, including design, testing, and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems and transformer engineering principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance in the power sector.
