Deputy Manager Logistics

SmartEnds is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to oversee and optimize international shipping operations for its BrighterBins and VisnLine product lines. This role involves managing complex logistics routes, coordinating with freight forwarders and courier services, and ensuring cost-effective and timely shipments. The successful candidate will take ownership of logistics processes, manage budgets, and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to maintain smooth operations. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and adapt to evolving requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- International Logistics Management: Oversee and streamline international shipping routes including Vietnam–China–US, Vietnam–China–EU, Belgium–Pakistan and Pakistan–Belgium, as well as Pakistan–Vietnam and Vietnam–Pakistan corridors.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with account managers at UPS, DHL, and other logistics providers to manage shipments, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Budget and Cost Management: Monitor logistics budgets, track shipping expenses, and handle invoicing related to logistics operations.
- Freight Cost Analysis: Evaluate freight quotations, compare pricing options, and identify opportunities to reduce shipping costs.
- Duties and Taxes: Calculate, verify, and monitor customs duties, taxes, and other shipment-related charges.
- Shipment Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth planning, documentation, dispatch, and delivery of shipments.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to logistics procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipments, quotations, invoices, expenses, and other logistics documentation.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide logistics support for both BrighterBins and VisnLine product lines and coordinate with relevant stakeholders as needed.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 4 years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or international shipping.
- Excellent spoken English with clear, confident, and professional communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and take full ownership of responsibilities.
- Well-developed organizational, analytical, and coordination skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, CRM systems, spreadsheets, and logistics management tools is advantageous.
- Capability to coordinate effectively with international stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- A proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and adaptability to changing operational demands.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, cost-conscious, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple logistics activities simultaneously. Comfort in communicating with international vendors, comparing commercial quotations, negotiating service terms, and ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and within budget is essential.

- Working Hours: 9 hours per day with a flexible schedule between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM, based on operational needs.
