In Pakistan, Acted has been active since 1993 and has provided assistance across all provinces to an estimated 6.9 million people. The assistance has included emergency response to meet the immediate and life-saving needs of natural disaster and complex emergency affected households, as well as recovery and development support in the form of education and livelihoods promotion and assistance.
The Deputy Project Manager – Education (Sindh) is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and smooth implementation of the Directorate of Literacy and Non-Formal Education (DL&NFE) and Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) project under ACTED’s education portfolio in Sindh. The role provides day-to-day leadership to ensure effective delivery of project objectives in alignment with DL&NFE, SEF policies, provincial education priorities, and donor requirements. The position entails overseeing planning, implementation, quality assurance, and performance monitoring of DL&NFE and SEF interventions while providing technical guidance and operational support to project teams and field staff. The Deputy Project Manager plays a central role in stakeholder coordination with DL&NFE and SEF and partners, contributes to adaptive programming and project expansion, and supports evidence-based decision-making, reporting, and continuous improvement of education interventions at both district and provincial levels.

Social cohesion is a key component to ensuring equitable service provision. ACTED’s interventions include the establishment of local representation bodies as well as supporting the rights of women, minorities and marginalized groups; Pillar 4 – Environmental protection and community resilience – This pillar aims to mitigate some of the effects of recurrent disasters, climate change and environmental degradation.
