Design and Proposal Engineer

Avanceon is seeking a Design & Proposal Engineer to join their Lahore office and contribute to innovative industrial automation solutions. The successful candidate will focus on developing technically compliant and cost-effective proposals, primarily targeting the Middle East market, while collaborating with international teams and key stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop technically sound and cost-effective proposals tailored for the Middle East region.
- Utilize expertise in automation and advanced SCADA systems throughout the entire proposal process, including subcontractor and system integration.
- Maintain a strong commercial presence by influencing stakeholders and working closely with international teams to manage daily departmental activities.
- Enhance sales team effectiveness by supporting international technical teams and developing integrated systems and tools.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Strategize during the pre-sales cycle to mitigate risks and minimize impacts on project execution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, business conduct standards, and OEM ethical and legal requirements.
- Manage international bids and proposals responsibly, minimizing risks in all outgoing submissions.
- Propose turnkey industrial automation solutions.
- Collaborate with global OEMs to monitor Capex programs and ensure alignment with user specifications.
- Lead detailed Capex and sales planning related to automation solutions and services.
- Analyze key accounts, develop penetration strategies, and implement tactics to increase market share.
- Diagnose, document, and resolve customer issues by delivering seamless and value-driven solutions.
- Understand contractual terms and conditions and negotiate effectively with customers.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in proposal development, industrial automation, power control, or related fields.
- Background in estimation within electrical, instrumentation, or process control sectors.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Proven experience in customer interaction.
- Strong business writing and communication skills.
- High level of commercial awareness.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer support and maximizing satisfaction.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships tactfully and efficiently.
- Strong analytical skills to support informed decision-making and guide teams toward business objectives.
