Design Department Coordinator ( Architect/Engineers)

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Department Coordinator to join our team at a leading Design & Construction company located in Bahria Town Phase 8, Rawalpindi. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Department by managing design operations and monitoring site progress to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects. This position requires a professional with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of coordinating between various teams and stakeholders while maintaining detailed progress tracking.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Department in planning, assigning, and overseeing all tasks within the design department.
- Monitor progress across multiple ongoing sites and design projects, providing regular status updates to management.
- Ensure that both design and site teams meet deadlines and adhere to required quality standards.
- Facilitate coordination between architects, engineers, site teams, and other involved parties to maintain smooth workflow.
- Review drawings, design deliverables, and site updates for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements.
- Identify potential delays, bottlenecks, or issues related to design or site execution early, and actively follow up until resolution.
- Maintain comprehensive task trackers, schedules, and progress reports to keep the department organized and informed.
- Follow up consistently with team members on deadlines, holding them accountable for their deliverables.
- Support the Head of Department with reporting, meeting preparations, and day-to-day decision-making processes.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in design and construction environments.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Practical site experience with a solid grasp of construction execution processes.
- Demonstrated managerial skills with the ability to coordinate and lead teams effectively.
- Proven capability to monitor and manage multiple projects and sites simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on follow-up and detailed reporting.
- Highly organized, capable of managing deadlines and ensuring teams meet their targets consistently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
The ideal candidate will be an architect or civil engineer who combines thorough design knowledge with hands-on site exposure. This individual will serve as a reliable right hand to the Head of Department, ensuring that both design and site teams remain aligned and on schedule.

This role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from PKR 100,000 to 150,000. The position requires in-person attendance at the company’s location in Bahria Town Phase 8, Rawalpindi.
