DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a skilled DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a full-time or contract basis, working remotely. The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, multi-tenant cloud environments. This role focuses on building automated, auto-scaling server infrastructures, implementing zero-downtime CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring data residency compliance aligned with stringent enterprise privacy regulations. The position primarily involves working with AWS and Google Cloud platforms within industries requiring secure cloud architecture and healthcare compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and manage secure cloud infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Configure auto-scaling server groups and load balancers to prevent cold-start latency during sudden traffic surges.
- Develop and maintain encrypted CI/CD pipelines that support automated testing, container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, and smooth production deployments.
- Implement comprehensive system monitoring, automated backup processes, multi-factor authentication (MFA) policies, and real-time alerts for database vulnerabilities.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years’ professional experience managing AWS or GCP cloud environments under production workloads.
- Strong expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Linux server administration.
- In-depth knowledge of database optimization techniques, cloud security firewalls, and secure backend communication using token isolation.
- Proven ability to design and maintain cloud compliance infrastructure aligned with strict regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PIPEDA, or PHIPA is highly preferred.
