DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in India, where you will play a vital role in building and supporting reliable, scalable technology solutions within a dynamic and collaborative environment. In this position, you will work closely with IT, development teams, and other technology stakeholders to maintain and enhance both internal and external business applications. Your efforts will focus on improving deployment reliability, automation, availability, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure and application environments.
- Maintain and support version control systems, build tools, and continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with development teams to support applications and promote Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
- Support server configuration management and infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Identify opportunities to improve deployment dependability and reduce manual intervention through automation.
- Automate manual processes to enhance operational efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
- Support code releases into highly available application environments, contributing to continuous deployment practices with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Design and maintain high-availability solutions, including load balancer configurations like HAProxy.
- Assist in improving system reliability and resilience by working closely with development and technology teams to resolve operational and deployment challenges.
- Participate in 24x7 coverage for your area of responsibility, including occasional after-hours support and on-call duties.
- Support cloud infrastructure and application environments across AWS and Azure platforms.
- Work with microservices-based environments and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code and configuration management practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years managing servers and enterprise infrastructure in a production environment.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting code releases into highly available applications.
- Experience with server configuration management tools and supporting highly available applications for 1+ years.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation, deployment, infrastructure, and application reliability.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Proficiency with continuous deployment tools including Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Solid experience with Git and code versioning systems.
- Knowledge of load balancing technologies such as HAProxy.
- Familiarity with JSON/REST APIs.
- Experience working with Kubernetes and microservices architectures.
- Understanding of Linux OS hardening and security best practices.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
