Key Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps. This includes configuring pipelines for building, testing, packaging, and deployment processes. Troubleshoot pipeline and deployment failures while integrating unit testing, code-quality checks, and security scanning to ensure robust delivery workflows.
Provision and manage AWS infrastructure, working extensively with services like EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, ALB, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, and SSM. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including updating modules and managing environment-specific configurations.
Automate operational tasks and server/application deployments using scripting languages and tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python, aiming to minimize manual effort. Build, deploy, and troubleshoot Docker containers and Kubernetes/EKS applications, managing resources like Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, and Persistent Storage.
Monitor infrastructure and application health with tools like Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch. Investigate alerts and participate in root cause analysis to maintain system reliability. Support engineering teams by promoting DevOps best practices, contributing reusable solutions, automating common requests, and documenting operational procedures. Participate in on-call rotations and support multiple environments including development, test, staging, and production.
Required Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles. Hands-on experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform is essential. Proven ability to build and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for container orchestration and deployment. Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows system administration.
Strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP, load balancers, firewalls/security groups, VPCs/subnets, and routing. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently resolve infrastructure, CI/CD, and deployment issues. Experience working with Git and pull-request workflows.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with AWS EKS, ECS, Fargate, and GitOps tools like Argo CD is highly desirable. Familiarity with security and code-quality tools such as SonarQube and Trivy adds value. Knowledge of observability platforms including Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus is a plus. Ability to support both Windows and Linux environments is preferred.
Relevant certifications in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or related technologies are advantageous. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is beneficial.
