DevOps Lead Engineer (Docker, Kubernetes & Helm)

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Lead Engineer with over 8 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), platform engineering, or release engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for automating deployments, managing environments, ensuring observability, and supporting release readiness and operations across development, integration, and customer-facing environments. Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm is essential to lead containerized platform deployments and drive operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of containerized deployment solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance deployment automation across multiple environments including development, integration, and production.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support build, testing, validation, and deployment processes.
- Automate environment provisioning, configuration management, and release promotion workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Establish and uphold observability standards, including logging, metrics collection, tracing, monitoring, and operational dashboards to ensure system health and performance.
- Provide support for platform upgrades, rollbacks, backup and recovery procedures, and troubleshoot production issues promptly.
- Implement secure deployment practices focusing on secrets management, access control, and software supply chain security.
- Maintain comprehensive deployment runbooks, operational procedures, and technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of operational autonomy and adherence to DevOps best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for container orchestration and deployment management.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or release engineering roles.
- Strong background in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Experience with observability tools and practices including logging, monitoring, and tracing.
- Solid understanding of secure deployment methodologies, including secrets management and access control.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent documentation skills and experience maintaining operational runbooks and procedures.
- Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering teams.

Location and Work Model
This position is based in Hyderabad, with a hybrid work model requiring four days per week onsite at the office.
