DGTX Tax Consultancy is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee and manage the financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and preparing financial reports that support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing processes, with the ability to analyze financial statements and manage accounts payable and receivable. The Accountant will lead a team of 12 professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of all financial activities. The successful applicant will have a minimum of one year of relevant experience, particularly within the banking industry, which will be highly advantageous. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders. In addition to technical proficiency, this role demands a commitment to regulatory compliance and continuous process improvement to uphold the companys financial integrity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax filing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and manage internal audits to assess financial controls and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee timely submission of tax filings and reporting requirements.
- Lead and manage a team of 12 accounting professionals, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to enhance team productivity and knowledge.
- Monitor cash flow and banking transactions to support financial stability and accurate record-keeping.
- Review and approve financial documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and compliance reviews.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Drive process improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
