Digital Gen is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team and help grow and manage our YouTube channel. The ideal candidate will take charge of video editing and content research while crafting engaging storyboards, hooks, titles, and thumbnails designed to capture and retain audience attention. You will optimize videos to increase views and help the channel achieve viral success by utilizing a deep understanding of YouTube trends, analytics, and SEO strategies, including YouTube Shorts and the use of AI content-creation tools. This role requires creativity and technical expertise in editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. The candidate must be adept at applying YouTube SEO practices and performing trend research to continuously innovate content strategies. Although this role does not include team management responsibilities, collaboration with other content creators and marketing team members is key to maximizing audience engagement and channel growth.
Responsibilities

Edit and produce high-quality videos using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve that resonate with the target audience.
Develop creative storyboards and scripts that enhance video content and viewer engagement.
Research current YouTube trends and analyze channel analytics to identify content opportunities with viral potential.
Create compelling hooks, titles, and thumbnail images to increase click-through rates and improve audience retention.
Optimize video content for YouTube SEO, including strategic use of keywords, tags, and descriptions.
Produce and edit YouTube Shorts tailored to platform trends to expand reach and attract new viewers.
Utilize AI content-creation tools to augment video production efficiency and creativity.
Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align video strategy with overall brand goals and audience interests.
Monitor video performance and implement continuous improvements based on analytics and feedback.
Manage video assets, maintain organized files, and ensure timely delivery of all video projects.
