DIVISIONAL ENGINEERS - PROJECT MANAGEMENT & CONSTRUCTION

Our client, a well-established company based in Karachi, is seeking experienced Divisional Engineers specializing in Project Management and Construction. The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising the daily maintenance, upgrading, and construction activities at Retail Outlets and Consumer Sales Facilities. This role demands hands-on involvement in ensuring operational readiness, quality control, and compliance with safety and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Initiate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to facilitate the execution of Maintenance & Repair (M&R) works at retail outlets, ensuring these sites remain fully operational.
- Supervise all M&R activities carried out by contractors, closely monitoring progress to verify both quality and quantity of work.
- Conduct on-site job verifications for maintenance and construction tasks, managing the efficient submission and processing of contractor invoices to guarantee timely payments.
- Collaborate with the Coordinator Retail Construction at the Head Office to oversee construction projects at ongoing sites, submitting regular progress reports. Additionally, provide post-completion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) audit checklists and completion certificates for retail outlets.
- Monitor all maintenance and construction work to ensure strict adherence to contractual terms, internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HSE standards, and applicable legal regulations.
- Ensure that all M&R activities are executed within the allocated expense budget.
- Follow instructions from the Commercial team regarding day-to-day maintenance and construction issues related to retail outlets.
- Provide technical assistance and necessary maintenance services to Consumer Outlets in line with established guidelines.
- Execute daily transactions in SAP, adhering to company workflows and authorization levels.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 16 years of education, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognized university or institution.
- At least 3 to 4 years of professional experience, preferably within the Oil & Marketing sector or EPC contractor companies. Experience in a large national or multinational organization is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant functional experience in construction supervision or retail fuel infrastructure development and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

- A Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline will be considered an advantage.
- Candidates must be willing to conduct routine site visits to supervise maintenance and construction activities at retail outlets.
- Strong technical input skills for the development and execution of retail outlet maintenance and upgrade projects are essential.
- Ability to maintain close coordination with various departments including Indenting, Retail, HSE, Audit, Support, and Contractors to ensure efficient site execution.
- The position is based in Dera Ismail Khan.
- Candidates should preferably be under 33 years of age as of the application deadline.
