The Draftsman – Landscape Projects internship is an on-site role based in Lahore. The intern will assist senior landscape architects and project managers by preparing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, layout plans, and technical documentation for a variety of landscape projects including residential, commercial, and urban developments. Daily responsibilities include updating site plans, supporting design revisions, organizing project files, and coordinating with the project team to ensure drawings comply with standards and deadlines. The intern will also help translate concept designs into working drawings, contribute to quantity take-offs, and assist in preparing presentation materials for clients and stakeholders. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in sustainable landscape design practices and project execution processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate 2D and 3D landscape drawings and layout plans using CAD or similar drafting software.
- Update and revise site plans and technical documentation in line with project requirements.
- Assist in translating conceptual designs into detailed working drawings.
- Support quantity take-offs and material estimations for landscape projects.
- Organize and maintain project files and documentation to ensure efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to meet project standards and timelines.
- Contribute to the preparation of presentation materials for client and stakeholder meetings.
- Participate in on-site coordination to understand project progress and requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Proficiency in CAD or equivalent drafting software to produce clear and precise landscape drawings.
- Basic knowledge of landscape design principles including site planning, grading, planting layouts, and hardscape detailing.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret design briefs, technical specifications, and survey data accurately.
- Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree or diploma in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Willingness to learn, accept constructive feedback, and adapt to evolving project needs within a professional setting.
