Draftsman (Plumbing)

We are seeking a skilled Draftsman specializing in plumbing and public health to prepare detailed drawings based on engineers’ designs and markups. The role involves creating accurate layouts for water supply, drainage, sewerage, and fire-fighting systems. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and site teams to ensure all plumbing drawings are precise, coordinated, and compliant with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise plumbing and public health drawings using AutoCAD, including layouts, schematics, risers, and detailed sections.
- Develop shop drawings and as-built drawings to support construction and project documentation.
- Coordinate plumbing layouts with architectural and structural drawings to ensure seamless integration.
- Maintain drawing registers and manage revision control to keep documentation up to date.
- Address and respond to drawing queries from engineers and site staff promptly to facilitate smooth project execution.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Plumbing, Public Health, Civil Technology (DAE), or an equivalent qualification.
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience in plumbing or public health drafting, preferably within a consultancy environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with a solid understanding of plumbing symbols, pipe sizing basics, and drawing standards.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Knowledge of Revit MEP is considered an advantage and will be beneficial for this role.

Location
This position is based in Karachi or at the project site, depending on project requirements.
