Drawing Applications Specialist

This hourly, remote contractor position seeks a Drawing Applications Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) to develop realistic and challenging computer-based tasks using various drawing, design, drafting, diagramming, or related visual software. The role involves designing practical tasks, clearly documenting them in SuperAnnotate, ensuring the computer setup supports the task requirements, and recording the execution of these tasks on your computer. Tasks may include workflows involving layouts, diagrams, technical drawings, illustrations, 3D models, annotations, exports, and file organization, tailored to your expertise with relevant software tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Create realistic computer tasks by designing challenging workflows executable on drawing, design, drafting, CAD, diagramming, or visual software applications, and document these tasks clearly within SuperAnnotate.
- Prepare the work environment by ensuring all necessary programs, files, assets, references, and tools are installed and ready before recording begins.
- Record yourself performing the tasks on your computer, following project instructions to deliver clear, complete, and realistic workflows.
- Provide comprehensive task context, including steps, goals, files, and notes, so reviewers fully understand the task’s purpose, realism, and completion process.
- Demonstrate practical use of software by completing workflows that may involve drawing, editing, layout setup, diagramming, scaling, labeling, exporting, file organization, or troubleshooting.
- Maintain high submission quality by reviewing recordings and documentation to ensure tasks are complete, understandable, realistic, and aligned with project guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with one or more drawing or design applications such as SketchUp, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma, CorelDRAW, Procreate, Krita, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher to accurately understand project instructions, document tasks clearly, and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Comfortable using computers, managing files, installing and opening required software, navigating complex interfaces, and recording workflows.
- Ability to conceptualize and develop realistic, challenging computer-based tasks that reflect genuine workflows in drawing, drafting, design, diagramming, illustration, or documentation.
- Strong understanding of relevant software workflows, including working with layers, groups, shapes, paths, scale, alignment, dimensions, exports, layouts, annotations, file formats, and visual organization.
- Capability to ensure your setup fully supports task requirements, including having all necessary programs, files, assets, and references prepared before recording.
- High attention to detail in task preparation, workflow execution, and quality checking of recordings to ensure clarity and completeness.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to consistently deliver quality work in an hourly, remote contractor role across different time zones.
